Manteuffelstr. 27, D-12103 Berlin, Germany

Dear Customers and Friends of Bolland & Marotz,

We cordially invite you to our special auction, which will be conducted exclusively as an online auction as part of the 170th auction of our auction house Historia. This means that while you cannot participate as an in-person bidder in Bremen, you can certainly take part as a live bidder via the internet or as a telephone bidder for individual lots. Pre-bids can be submitted as usual up to 24 hours before the auction.

The auction will begin with the extensive and diverse artistic estate of the Worpswede artist couple Fritz Uphoff (1890-1966) and Lore Uphoff-Schill (1890-1968), featuring numerous paintings, graphics, and drawings from all creative periods, as well as works by Fritz Uphoff's brother Carl Emil Uphoff (1885-1971). Additionally, works from the Worpswede cooperative for book art and rare repoussé work in silver, copper, and brass by the Bremen silversmith August Haarstick (1882-1946) based on designs by Fritz Uphoff will be auctioned.

Following this, works by other Worpswede and North German artists from the 17th to the 21st century will be available, including an outstanding painting from the 17th century depicting a wedding procession in front of the Bremen city backdrop, as well as works by Otto Modersohn, Heinrich Vogeler, Fritz Overbeck, Fritz Mackensen, Hans am Ende, and Udo Peters, to name just a few.

The pieces are exclusively available for viewing and collection at Bolland & Marotz in Bremen.

We wish you much enjoyment browsing and good luck with your bidding!
