Ceramic Trophy Tumbler, Talavera 1975
Trophy in the shape of a vase with its lid made in ceramics from Talavera de la Reina (Toledo, Spain). Its maker was the Mauri and Corrochano ceramics house, a company born after the artistic and commercial union of Mauricio Delgado Muñoz and Bernardo Corrochano Tornero.
This piece once represented a prize or distinction, preserved to this day by one of the descendants of the honoree, whose painted legend reads; "III NATIONAL COMPETITION / OF FABRICWARE / T A (intertwined) / TALAVERA CRAFTSMANSHIP / CERAMICS MAURI AND CORROCHANO / TALAVERA - 1975".
The reverse shows an original painting of a picador on horseback with ancient clothing in a country landscape. Glass with its original lid. Very good state of preservation.
