Candle. Spain, XIX century
Spanish candle of the XIX century. Made in bronze.
The circular foot is raised by the edges to collect the oil that could be spilled. A Solomonic foot ends in a vase form, to give way to the central knot of the candle, in which each of the lights emerges from a schematized quadruped. The upper finial, above another simple vase form, features a flat plate of scrolls and fleur-de-lis and a tubular rod ending in a
tubular rod ending in a decoration with two forms reminiscent of rampant animals and another figure at the top.
Measures: 26 x 26 x 89 cm.
