Sculpture Virgin and Child. Spain, 17th-18th centuries
Round sculpture representing the Virgin Mary with the Infant Jesus, a work from the Spanish school of the late 17th and early 18th century. The Child appears raising his right hand in sign of blessing, while the other hand rests on a sphere, symbol of the universality of the Christian doctrine and the redemptive act of Christ.
Measurements: 70 x 32 x 26 cm.
