Travel Poster Antilles Venezuela Transatlantique French Line. Original vintage cruise travel poster advertising the Cie Gle Transatlantique French Line Linia Francesa Antilles Venezuela featuring artwork by the French artist Albert Brenet (1903-2005) depicting a young smiling lady in traditional clothing and colourful headdress looking over her shoulder to the viewer, a large white ocean liner and small sailing boats on the calm blue sea in the background, the text above and below. Founded in 1861 (having been established in 1855 by the brothers Emile and Issac Pereire), the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique CGT was a French shipping company known as French Line and Transat; it merged with Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes de Marseille in 1976 to form the Compagnie Generale Maritime CMA CGM. Printed by La Photolith. Good condition, creasing, tears. Country of issue: France, designer: A. Brenet, size (cm): 57x40, year of printing: 1960s.
