Original antique French propaganda poster Preparation of the French Youth for Military Service / Preparation de la Jeunesse Francaise au Service Militaire. The design features a young man holding the flag of France, clenching his fist as he is charging forward, soldiers are seen below him, and a farmer with his horses pulling the plough in the field and a burning city in the distance, with rising sun behind the factories, the caption on the image reads - Class of 1920 it is our turn! / Classe 1920 a notre tour! - with a motivational text below. Published by French Republic Ministry of War Department of Infantry Section of Instruction and Physical Training. Printed by Devambez, Paris. Good condition, folds, staining, creasing, tears, ink stamp on bottom left corner. Country of issue: France, designer: William Mainerbe, size (cm): 119x80, year of printing: 1918.
