Propaganda Poster Step Into Women's Reserve Dutch Army
Original vintage Dutch propaganda poster encouraging women to join the Women's Section of the Dutch Army as a reservist. Stap in Reserve Milva in Uw vrije tijd ? Maak telefonsich een afspraak met de Milva-officier / Step into the Milva Reserve in Your Spare Time ? Call to make an appointment with the Milva Officer. Modern split style design showing a casually dressed lady walking from the left yellow side of the poster into the right blue side wearing a smart military uniform with text on the right and below. Women have served in the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces since 1944 as part of the MARVA (Navy), MILVA (Army) and LUVA (Air Force); the Women's Corps were integrated into the Royal Netherlands Army Navy and Air Force from 1979-1982. Artwork by Frans Mettes. Pencilled notes by the printer on bottom margin.
