Hand-painted porcelain mounted soldier figurine of Napoleon's Marshal Nicolas Soult astride a horse with gilded details and four gilded French Imperial eagles at the edges of the rectangular pedestal, made at Scheibe Alsbach manufacturer in Germany. Nicolas Jean de Dieu Soult 1769-1851 was a Chief Marshal of France, Colonel-General of the Imperial Guard's foot rangers, a participant in the Napoleonic and revolutionary wars.Scheibe-Alsbach is a former municipality of Thuringia, Germany, now a part of Neuhaus am Rennweg. A porcelain factory built there in 1835, specializing in the Napoleonic period historical figurines.
