MOSHE GERSHUNI EL MALE RACHAMIM 1988 ART PRINT
Original Art on a very limited edition print by Israeli artist Moshe Gershuni, b 1936 to 2017, known as the Soul of Israeli Arts. Framed artwork titled El Male Rachamim, 1988. Copy 6 on 30. An original graphic artwork, ink on paper. Jewish symbols, stars of David, inscriptions in Hebrew. White matted, framed. Judaica Graphic Art For Interior Design. In his works, particularly in his paintings from the 1980s, he expressed a position different from the norm, commemorating The Holocaust in Israeli art. His style passed to be classified as Post Minimalist. In addition, he created in his works a connection between bereavement and homoerotic sexuality, in the way he criticized society and Israeli Zionism and ultra nationalism. He was awarded the Israel Prize for Painting for his work in 2003, but in the end, it was revoked and he was deprived of receiving the prize.
