ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY PHOTO ALBUM WITH PORTRAITS
An antique late 19th-century photo album with an embossed leather hardcover. The album contains black and white portraits, the personalities of each photographed person is indicated by a handwritten inscription underneath the picture. The inscription on the flyleaf notes that the album was gifted to R. Austin Robertson Jr. for Christmas in 1878. R. Austin Robertson Jr. was the son of Richard Austin Robertson, 1829-1891, an American businessmen and collector from NYC, member of the American Art Association.
