NEOCLASSICAL SPELTER SCULPTURE OF GODDESS ATHENA
A Neoclassical manner spelter sculpture representing Athena Pallas, an ancient Greek goddess associated with wisdom and warfare. The figure is wearing a Corinthian helmet, and armor, and holding a spear. These attributes point to her role as protector of the city of Athens and all of Greece. The sculpture is mounted on a sculptural stand, decorated with engraved foliage and geometrical motifs.
