ANTIQUE BRITISH HAND EMBROIDERED SILK TAPESTRY FRAMED
A rare antique British hand embroidered artwork on silk depicting a scene with Robert Burns at his fathers grave. Circa: 19th century. Framed. Taken from an engraving by Adam Buck dated 1808. The picture depicts Robert Burns reciting prose to his father who is buried at the graveyard surrounding the Auld Kirk at Alloway which was less than a mile from his birthplace, also the resting place of Robert Burns.
