An antique mid-19th century German portable barometer. Round gilt case with suspension. Front dial marked Compensirt, A. Kruss Hamburg. Engraved inscription Comod. de Marina Jose Felix Murature on the side. The item comes in original leather case. A. Kruss Optronic is a German manufacturer of optical and electronic equipment established in 1796. Jose Felix Murature, 1804 to 1880, was an Argentinian Navy commander of Italian descent who participated in the Paraguayan War. Memorabilia, Nautical Maritime Tools, Clocks And Watches.
