JAVANESE GOLD RING WITH HEXAGONAL BEZEL WITH INSCRIPTION
Ca. AD 600 - 1200.
A Javanese 20 ct gold ring with an inscribed intaglio set in a hexagonal bezel. This is connected to a round hoop with a polygonal section. For similar see: Sotheby's magnificent lustre south asian gold jewellery and ornaments from an Asian private collection, 01-08.09.2022, Lot. 66. This piece has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
