CHINESE TANG DYNASTY TERRACOTTA FEMALE FIGURE - TL TESTED
Ca. AD 618 – 907 A Chinese terracotta lady figure. The lady is standing upright, wearing a long robe beneath a short overtop. She is holding a disk in her right hand. This fashion style was a form of foreign garment during the period, influenced by ladies along the Silk Road. This piece has been precisely dated using a Thermo Luminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot. Size: 360mm x 110mm; Weight: 1.35kg Provenance: East Anglian private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong.
