SET OF FRAMED SAFAVID BORDER TILES
Ca. 17th century AD. A set of eight framed border tiles, each of rectangular form, underglaze painted in cobalt-blue, black, yellow and olive green, with a central spiky flower head alternating with a lobed wave design outlined with a yellow border, encompassed by a band of olive-green above and below, set within a wooden frame.
