Ca. AD 1300 - 1400. A gilded bronze candlestick bell, decorated with Kufic inscription around the body and the neck. The bell shaped body is connected to a narrow neck. For similar see: L'eredità dell'Islam, 1993, fig. 180. Size: 300mm x 290mm; Weight: 1.8kg Provenance: Property of an Oxfordshire art professional; previously in an old Canadian collection formed in the 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
