A FRAMED OTTOMAN MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE
Ottoman, Turkey, Ca. 19th century AD . A remarkable Ottoman document, intricately illuminated with floral and architectural motifs, presented in a giltwood frame. The manuscript is composed of elegant calligraphy in black ink, with red annotations and official tughra seals. The margins are richly adorned with stylised floral motifs in blue, red, and green, interwoven with delicate arabesques. The top panel features a cartouche with a floral arabesque, framing an empty inscription space.Size: 790mm x 320mm; Weight: 2.07kgProvenance: Previous property of a UK based Islamic art professional.
