Cameo depicting effigy of Bacchus
Refined agate cameo of central Italian origin, engraved to depict an effigy of the god Bacchus.
It is a manufacture probably created in the Tuscan Grand Ducal Workshops of the Renaissance age, simulating the ancient Etruscan productions, characterized by similar faces, with large eyes and wide-open mouths, in a manner entirely similar to the "maskers" revived in the Renaissance itself.
Very good conservative conditions.
