On the frontispiece compositiom with the coats of arms of noble Bolognese families, frontispiece printed in red and black, full-page portrait of the author engraved in copper, numerous engraved medals in the text, at the end 3 folded plates.
Rare original edition.
Macchiavelli (1693 - 1766), in this work reconstructs the history of the silver bolognino, describing "various ancient coins, which never had existence, taking advantage of the occasion to exalt illustrious ancestors who really existed, such as the blessed Alessandro Macchiavelli, Dominican and reader of theology, who died in 1441, or others that did not exist or are historically less consistent.
