The South African Mounted Rifles was established in 1911 and finally disbanded in 1926; it provided a force for stability during the turbulent period following the
formation of the Union of South Africa.
A fine example of this relatively scarce medal, with the original full-length silk ribbon. With a historical note on the South African Mounted Rifles. Good very Fine (GVF) condition.
