A Chinese famille verte 'Ladies playing Touhu' dish, finely enamelled with two ladies seated at a table in a garden, enjoying their time with the pitch-pot arrow game (touhu), the arrow vase placed in front of them, both having arrows in their hands and in deep conversation, the garden surrounded by pierced rock work, the table arranged with a flower vase, a fan and a booklet, the rim decorated with intricate lotus scrolls, with the lotus blossoms in underglaze blue and iron-red and with green enamelled leafy tendrils, Kangxi period, dia 23 cm
