A famille noire and rose 'Cockerels' baluster vase, famille rose enamelled with chrysanthemum blossoms on a black ground, amongst green enamelled scrolling tendrils, the panels depicting a pair of cockerels in a peony garden, the shoulder paired with two finely cast gilt bronze handles of Satyr, in 'Barbedienne' quality, a clockwork rests atop the baluster vase, the top and foot rim further mounted in gilt bronze work, 19thC, matched with a Chinese famille noire cover, the roundels depicting a peony garden, famille rose enamelled with scrolling chrysanthemum pattern on a black ground, Yongzheng period, total H 85,5 cm
