Gouche on board, 9 3/4 x 13 1/2 inches, sight. The Bark Mary & Helen of New Bedford, and later San Francisco, was built in Bath, Maine in 1879. This painting was one of a series of works illustrating Hyde Windlass Co. advertisements in trade magazines in the later 1940s.
