Original Jerry Lee Lewis British Tour Poster, 1958 . A beautiful poster from The disastrous 1958 tour of Britain, for a gig that never happened.
Jerry Lee was at his peak when he arrived in London that May for a 27 performance tour. He was also a newly-married man, having wed his 13 year old cousin shortly before his arrival. Seeing the couple together, an inquisitive Daily Mail reporter asked her age, and the ensuing scandal effectively killed the tour, which was cancelled after only three poorly-attended performances. .
