WW2 Victoria Cross winner Richard Burton VC signed 1972 Duke of Wellingtons Regiment British Military Uniforms cover. 1944 Burton was 21 years old and a private in the 1st Battalion, Duke of Wellington's Regiment, British Army, during the Second World War at Monte Ceco, near Palazzolo sul Senio, north-east of Florence where he was awarded the Victoria Cross. His CO was killed in the action and his Officer Commanding (A Company) was wounded. It occurred during a violent assault north of Florence, at Monte Ceco, for which the regiment received its 72nd battle honour. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
