Description
"Spiderweb", signed - Jackson Pollock. Fractal Analysis Professor R. Taylor, FRACTALS RESEARCH LLC.. Excellent abstract painting, oil on canvas, signed - Jackson Pollock at the bottom of the painting. On the reverse side of the picture there is a stamp "MINISTRY OF CULTURE, NATIONAL MUSEUM OF BULGARIAN FINE ART". In 2013 FRACTALS RESEARCH LLC, led by Professor R. Taylor, conducted a fractal analysis of the painting. The conclusions of the study - "The mathematical statistic conclusion is that the authenticity of the painting “Spiderweb” signed by Jackson Pollock as a result of this fractal analysis is between 94% and 100%.". Very rare American abstract painting of the mid-20th century. Paul Jackson Pollock (1912 – 1956) was an American painter. A major figure in the abstract expressionist movement, Pollock was widely noticed for his "drip technique" of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles. It was called all-over painting and action painting, since he covered the entire canvas and used the force of his whole body to paint, often in a frenetic dancing style. This extreme form of abstraction divided the critics: some praised the immediacy of the creation, while others derided the random effects. In 2016, Pollock's painting titled Number 17A was reported to have fetched US$200 million in a private purchase.
