Antique Harbour Plan - Map of Port of Livorno - Italy, Toscany, Mediterranean
Original hand-colored copper engraving print originates from "Recueil des Principaux Plans des Ports et Rades de la Mer Méditerranée …", translated from French as "Collection of the main plans of the ports and roads of the Mediterranean Sea" by Joseph Roux. The maps are crudely engraved, contain little navigational information, and have different scales and orientations due to the small size of the maps. They do not contain geographical coordinates, have a central rose of eight or sixteen winds, and represent typical features of the previous century, such as profiles of prominent buildings or villages drawn in perspective within the coastline. This is an original print, not a modern reproduction.
The work is in good condition overall. There may be a few minor imperfections or fox or mottled marks to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
