Antique Engraving - View of the Pons Aemilius - Rome, Italy - Roman Stone Bridge
This magnificent engraving originates from 'Beschryving van Oud en Nieuw Rome. Verdeelt in drie Deelen. In ‘t Fransch beschreven door den Heer Francois Desseine. En in ‘t Nederduitsch vertaalt' (Description of Ancient and New Rome...), a significant publication in the realm of art and history. This work was initially penned by Mr. Francois Desseine and was first published in French in 1690. It was later translated into Dutch and published by François Halma in 1704. Masterful engravings are highly detailed and artistic, serving for conveying the visual richness of Rome during the 18th century. Through these engravings, readers are granted a meticulous exploration of architectural intricacies, statues, monumental structures, historically significant artifacts and colture of ancient Rome. The reverse side is blank. This is an original print, not a modern reproduction.

The work is in good condition overall. There may be a few minor imperfections or fox or mottled marks to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
