Rare Engraving - Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome - Architecture - Gabriel Bodenehr
This is original cooper engraving dated around 1750 by Gabriel Bodenehr, Germany. A rare 17th-century edition collection of engravings of French city views from environs based on the towns involved in the Treaty of Munster and the Treaty of Pyrenees.
Gabriel Bodener was a German engraver and cartographer of the 17th and 18th centuries. Gabriel Bodener was born in 1673 in Augsburg, Germany. Bodener was known for his work in the fields of engraving and cartography. He created prints, including portraits, views of cities, and other illustrations. He also produced maps and atlases. Bodener's creativity and contributions to the development of cartography have remained significant in the history of this field. His works are often prized as historical and artistic artifacts.
