Superb Hand Signed -
This is a superb color lithograph on woven paper. It was made by Enrico Baj from the folder "Die Kunst Der Graphik" Published by Die Galerie, Offenbach am Main. Printed by Matthieu, Dielsdorf, Zurich in 1982.
In Horst Anthes's work, figures are often depicted using geometric shapes and details are stylized. In this lithograph, the "spotted figure" hints at the use of abstract or stylized patterns or dots in the image. There is a hoop in the picture, which serves as an element of dynamics and movement. The staircase is presented as another element that can carry its own symbolism or add interest to the work.
Enrico Baj was an Italian painter, sculptor, and writer. He was born on October 31, 1924, in Milan, Italy, and passed away on June 15, 2003. Baj was associated with the surrealist and dadaist movements and was known for his satirical and politically charged artworks. He often used unconventional materials and techniques in his paintings and sculptures. Baj's works can be found in numerous museums and private collections around the world.
