The work was published by Johann Görlin in Ulm, 1662.Johann Joachim Becher (1635-1682) was a German alchemist and economic theorist who advocated for economic regulation through mercantilist measures such as protective tariffs and manufactures. He gained extensive knowledge in medicine, chemistry, physics, and politics.
