Pre WWI Russian Cossack Kindjal Sword-1911
This is very finely made pre WWI Cossack kindjal. It is dated 1911 and many proof marks. 12.5" blade and 20.25" overall. It is marked "???" for Kuban Cossack Army. and ZOF in Cyrillic for the maker Zlatoust Gun Factory. The blade is is bright with some very minor pitting and normal in/out wear. The tip appears to be good. All the fittings are tight and the wood handle is not chipped or cracked. The leather covered scabbard is in very good condition and ball tip is not dented or cracked. May have slight dent to front of hanger ring front (see pictures) It is Roman numeral proofed at both ends. This is a excellent example of Czarist era military edged weapons.
