Angola, 1902 – D. Luís I, straight strip, with surcharge. MF#54, 65 s/ 300 reis, orange, porcelain paper, 12 ¾ perforation, type I. Isolated copy in an envelope circulated from Benguela to Malvern (25.11.04) with transit via Lisbon (21.11.04), to pay the simple postage of letters sent abroad weighing up to 15g. (Table published in the Official Gazette of Angola no. 10 of 17.03.03). Obliterated with a 9-bar silent stamp beaten in violet, used as a resource mark in Benguela, due to damage to the dated stamp. Transported from Benguela to Lisbon by the packet boat Luanda. Copy without defects or repairs.
