São Tomé and Príncipe. 1870 (?). Stamp of 10 reis, printed on cardboard paper, 0.20 mm thick, yellow-orange. In our opinion, it is an essay, perhaps of the same type described by Oliveira Marques on page 27 of the book “Ensaios e Provas de selo Portugueses (Continente, Ilhas e Ultramar), where he describes: “Of the full-back type, the most interesting essays are those of São Tomé, with a slightly different crown, and equally different numerals, of which only the rate of 5 reis is known, in blue and blue-violet colors:”.Only known.
