Madeira. Front of a registered letter, sent from Funchal on 29.10.1879, franked with 100 reis (50 for postage and 50 for registration), composed of D. Luis straight ribbon perforated stamps: 10 reis green-blue (Mf 49d), 25 reis pink (Mf 40), 5 reis black (Mf 14), 10 reis yellow (Mf 15), and 50 reis blue (Mf 28), with MADEIRA overprint and WELSH perforation. Sent to the United States via England, passing through London on 7.11.1878. Some stamps damaged, but a multicolored franking with a mixed franking of stamps from mainland Portugal and Madeira.
