Dupnica Bulgaria, 6 photos of school children (probably Jewish) 1932-1943
6 postcard-sized photographs from the school in the city of Dupnitza. Photos from 1932 to 1943, apparently belonged to two brothers/sisters who studied at the school. The last photograph from 1943, the year in which all the Jewish institutions in the city were closed.
We do not know for sure that this school was the "Jewish school", but the probability is high.
From "We are all Bulgarians, the home site of the Jews of Bulgaria": "Between the two world wars, a Jewish education system developed in Dupnica. Data from 1920 show that 89% of the Jewish children attended the Jewish school. According to a publication of the Consistory from 1926, the system included Kindergarten and Jewish elementary school."
