Large Apulian red-figure bell-krater of the Lucera Painter. About 330 BC. Height 41,9cm, ø mouth 41,5cm. On the front a mixture of the so-called Plain style regarding the composition combined with rich usage of the colours white and yellow in the tradition of the Rich style . To the left a woman with jewellery holding thyrsos and tympanon and standing in front of a sitting youth with thyrsos and large offering bowl. On the back two draped youths with walking sticks with a tendril between them. Two fragments of the mouth and the foot broken and reattached, small chippings at the cracks and below at the foot.
