Late Roman mouldmade terra sigillata lagynos with figural decor. North Africa, 3rd - 4th century AD. Height 17,6cm, ø 17cm. One-handle bottle with lentoid corpus and cylindrical neck. On the neck at the front a grotesque head of a woman. On the shoulder assembly of the Gods including Diana with torch, Venus on a pedestal, enthroned Jupiter and Juno, following to right a Silen, Amor with wreath, Pan with syrinx and the sitting Mercury with purse. Starting below the handle and distributed between the figures EX OFI SAT-VRN and NI NI. Below a beautiful circle of leaves. Surface of the figures slightly rubbed off, otherwise intact.
