A female marble head. - A female marble head, 2nd / 3rd century AD. With classical hairstyle. The hair on the top is only scetchily done. Probably it was covered by an helmet, which would identify the head as Athena. Appartently smoothly overworked at the front. Broken at the neck. With French export license! Reputedly acquired at Sotheby's Parke Bernet New York.
