Late Archaic head of a kouros. - Late Archaic head of a kouros with long hair and laurel wreath. 520 - 480 BC. Height 13,6cm and with stand 22,2cm. Under life size head made of sandstone with reddish brown patina. On the back flattened. Best Eastern Mediterranean Archaic style! With copy of the Sotheby´s catalogue! Broken at the neck, otherwise except of very tiny surficial chippings intact, mounted on a wooden stand. First published in 1975 and on exhibition 1987 in Geneva.
