Roman copy of the 2nd century AD after an original scuplture of the Athenian sculptor Alkamenes which stood at the entrance of the Athenian Acropolis, 448 - 442 BC. Height 17,7cm. Reddish brown marble. Surface partially rubbed, below the right eye a repaired missing spot, on the back broken.
