Etruscan bronze mirror with figural image. - Etruscan bronze mirror with figural image. 3rd century BC. Height 19,8cm, ø 9,7. On the inside of the diskus engraved image depicting two women with girded chitons and crossed legs. Comparable mirrors show the Dioscuri between the women and suggest a naming of the women as Helena and Klytaimnestra. Black and green patina, small spots of corrosion are retouched, a missing part in the middel of the handle is modernly restored.
