A Textile Figurine, Central Coast, Peru, Late Intermediate Period, 1110-1470 CE
Chancay
The head of this figurine is composed of two pieces, one for the face and another for the back of the head. The eyes, nose and mouth were embroidered with different techniques. The figure may have originally had a loose outer dress around the body, which is now lost.
