FORT PAUL: (1872-1960) French Poet. A Symbolist who founded literary reviews with Apollinaire. Best known for his Ballades Françaises. A good A.L.S., `Paul Fort´, two pages, to both sides of his personal printed visiting card, n.p., 28th November 1925, to Léon Bessand, in French. A very cleanly written letter by Fort, in the third person, stating in part `Would be flattered if Monsieur Leon Bessand would honour him having a not too severe look at this leaflet announcing his ''Chansons d´Amour''; he would be sincerely obliged in these times little favourable to poetry and to any kind of art
.´, further and referring to himself in the third person, saying `..a volume in which the author of ''Ballades Françaises'', ''Ysabeau'' and ''Chroniques de France'' has put, if not a lot of genius (that he has none), at least what we attribute to him of heart and talent..´ A letter of good content.
