[SLAVERY]: A partially printed D.S., A. R. Johnson, by a Deputy Sheriff, also on behalf of Sheriff Thomas, the Collector of Taxes, one page, slim oblong 8vo, n.p., n.d. (c.1846). The document, completed in manuscript, is a receipt issued to a Mr. Baltan for his payment of $99.44 'in full for his State, County, Special and Poor Tax, for the year 1846, on 1280 acres of land valued at $10, 240', and further providing a partial inventory including a clock, cattle and forty-four slaves.
