MARCEAU MARCEL: (1923-2007) French mime Artist and Actor. Marceau is best known for his stage character "Bip the Clown". Marceau performed for over 60 years, referring to mime as ''the Art of Silence''. A good signed and inscribed 5 x 7 photograph by Marceau, the attractive shot depicting the French mime artist performing, in costume, in a half-length pose. Signed and inscribed in bold black ink to the lower white border of the image `…With all my heart - Marcel Marceau.´ Marceau has also added his mime stage persona `Bip´, drawing alongside a flower, and adding the date 1983 in his hand. Accompanied by a provenance card bearing the printed heading and monogram of the Mime Marcel Marceau company, and also the printed stationery envelope of the same artist company. VG
