BONAPARTE LUCIEN: (1775-1840) Younger brother of Napoleon Bonaparte. A.L.S., `L. Prince de Canino´, one page, 4to, Livingston, 10th January 1826, to Chevalier Cuneo d´Ornano, in Rome, in French. Lucien Bonaparte thanks his correspondent for the letter just received and for his greetings, and sends his own ones saying in part `…je vous remercie de vos voeux de bonne année; je vous prie de saluer pour nous votre père…´ ("… I thank you for your new year greetings; I beg you to salute your father on our behalf…") With address leaf bearing a red wax seal. Overall small creasing and foxing. G
