SACHER-MASOCH LEOPOLD VON: (1836-1895) Austrian Writer, the term masochism is derived from his name. L.S., L. de Sacher Masoch, two pages, 8vo, Lindheim Castle, Hesse-Darmstadt, 21st February 1888, to press editor, in French. Sacher-Masoch thanks his correspondent for the Choses Vécues proof copies forwarded, and states `I am late as a result of the lost copy, because now I have to make copy the whole from my manuscript, simply dreadful..´ further commenting that he has replaced two chapters which he judged not good enough saying `..much more interesting and important for the right explanation of the origin of my works..´ With blank integral leaf. EX £200-300 Choses Vécues is an autobiographic work by Sacher-Masoch containing erotic confessions which was published by Revue Blueu in 1888.
