CELINE LOUIS FERDINAND: (1894-1961) French Novelist. Known as Celine, being his real name Destouches, a controversial writer because of his antisemitism. A.L.S., L.F. Celine, grey ink, one page, folio, Copenhagen, 22nd May 1949, to his French lawyer Albert Naud, in French. Celine mentions that Mikkelsen is finally on his way to Paris and states `I am frightened when I think that he might not meet you! Renée Canavaggia will do all she can to make this meeting happen!..´ Celine went into exile in Denmark from 1944 to 1951. G £400-600 Thorvald Mikkelsen (1895-1962) was Celine´s Danish lawyer. Renée Canavaggia (1902-1996) French astrophysicist was the sister of Maria (1896-1976), translator and literature secretary of Céline.
